What if I have never worked with a designer before?

No worries! Working with a designer shouldn't be intimidating But it shouldn’t be. Hiring a designer should be a comforting experience, like going to your favorite hairstylist for a new style. You provide inspirational images and then collaborate on texture, length and details before you begin. Interior design starts in much the same way. We'll will tackle this journey together and I'll be here to guide you through the whole process.

Will you do everything in your style or mine?

​

This is a very common concern and let me reassure you that this process is all about YOU! This is your home, your space. It's personal to you. My goal is to make the best design to fit your style.

Why does the process takes so long?

​

Renovation or redesigning your space is a major undertaking and shouldn’t be rushed. The time ranges can vary depending on your needs. If you want custom options like furniture, window coverings or carpentry, please know that those things can take time - anywhere from 4- 12 weeks. My goal is to get your project moving and on schedule so you can enjoy your newly designed home. Remember, one of the great benefits to hiring a designer is the amount of free time you get back that would otherwise be spent poring over websites in search of the right products and materials. Your time is valuable—enjoy it while your designer does all the work.

 

How many hours does one room take to design?

A standard room can easily take 30 + hours to create a design. Between planning out the design, sourcing all the products for the space - all takes time.

What if I don't need a whole room design? Can I hire you hourly for design services?

​

Yes, we offer other design services like Designer On/Call or Refresh E-Design. Designer on call is by the hour and Refresh E-Design is a flat fee.

What if I  am doing a whole house remodel or renovation?

​

Where do you purchase products from?

​

I generally mix things up. I have a lot of favorite trade only vendors that I use often because I know their products and trust the quality. I travel to the design markets every year to touch and see new products and talk to my reps. This is so I can help my clients and find them the best pieces. This also helps me stay current on what's new and also with projects that I am working on.

Do I have to buy the products from you?

​

Nope, but you'll likely want to. The perks of working with a designer is the access to "trade only" pieces that I can get at a better price. Sometimes you can buy online yourself but you might pay more. I do my best to get you the best possible price.

Do you take returns on products that I purchase from you?

​

As a sole entrepreneur, I am unable to take returns unless it arrives damaged. If this happens we have insurance and I will re-order or issue you a credit if you don't want the item replaced. 

​

​

What if I don't know my investment amount?

​

This too is a very common and important question. If you don't know this amount we can discuss this on a consultation. I have done many projects and can help provide you a ball park idea. However, if you do have your investment amount, I can better create the best design you. Read more

How do I prepare for an Interior Design consultation?

​

Once you have selected my service that's suitable for your project and filled out your contact information, you'll receive via email a detailed questionnaire for to complete to better prepare us for the consultation meeting. And don't worry about your house being a mess during our consultation, relax it's okay. You wouldn't need me if it was perfect and beautiful, I would see the potential of a creating a beautiful room :)

Do you have preferred contractors that you use?

​

Definitely! Over the years I have built great relationships with the contractors that I trust to deliver exceptional service and treat your home with respect it deserves. However, if you happen to have your own preferred and trusted contractors, I am more than happy to work with them for your project. I allow you to pay them directly since you already have that established relationship with them.

If I live overseas but have a property in Bermuda, will you work with me?

​

Absolutely! We will work with you virtually with your project. We've had great success with this during the COVID pandemic and clients were got a sense of relief knowing they had someone here to manage it all for them.
